As a Histologist, youll play a key role in the daily operations of the histology lab, with responsibilities spanning from specimen grossing and embedding to microtomy and staining. Youll handle a variety of tissue types, with a focus on dermatology and breast core specimens, ensuring specimens are processed efficiently and with the highest attention to detail. Youll also contribute to quality control and workflow consistency, working closely with fellow lab staff to maintain accuracy, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a team-oriented mindset whos ready to take ownership of daily lab functions in a high-impact setting. Key Responsibilities
Perform specimen grossing and embedding, particularly for dermatology and breast core biopsies
Cut tissue sections using microtomy and prepare slides with appropriate staining techniques (H&E and others as needed)
Maintain and troubleshoot histology equipment and instruments
Adhere to quality control protocols and laboratory safety procedures
Collaborate with pathology and lab teams to ensure timely and accurate specimen processing
Assist with maintaining lab supplies, reagents, and documentation
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal SOPs
