Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Tacoma, WA 98405 (Washington nursing jobs) Assignment Type: Travel L&D Registered Nurse Unit: Birth Center - Labor & Delivery (L&D RN jobs) Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Assignment Duration: 20 weeks (September 8, 2025 - January 24, 2026) Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend (variable as needed) Orientation: Comprehensive onboarding with preceptor support Free Parking: Yes, badge access in designated areas Estimated Weekly Pay: $2240 - $2400 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (5+ years preferred) Active, unencumbered RN license (Washington RN license preferred for local candidates) BLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN) certifications required High acuity L&D experience: labor management, high-risk OB patient care, triage, circulating in OR, cervical checks, and fetal monitoring interpretation EPIC EMR experience required Ability to float to antepartum and postpartum units as needed Strong interpersonal and communication skills L&D RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients, including high-risk cases (hypertension, preterm labor, C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage) Manage all aspects of labor and delivery, including triage, induction, and recovery for both mother and newborn Circulate in the OR for C-sections and assist with newborn recovery as needed Interpret and monitor fetal heart rate strips, responding promptly to changes Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: physicians, CNAs, scrub techs, and respiratory therapists Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR Participate in self-scheduling and comply with fair holiday and weekend rotation policies Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered clinical environment Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
