The HBS Solutions Engineer works closely with the sales and GMs to help drive sales and value-based outcomes for HBS customers. The solution engineer is responsible for demonstrating our solutions, conducting POC activities, and collaborating with offering management and engineering teams across HBS to develop requirements and reference architectures that support the sales and customer lifecycle, enabling growth of the HBS business. Reporting to the HBS President, the solutions engineer will also serve as the highest-level technical consultant for key customers and coordinate tasks to deliver the designed HBS solution during the sales process. YOU MUST HAVE 15 years in the building automation industry Deep understanding of Honeywell products and third-party products that could be integrated into solutions Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills to work successfully with prospects, customers, and cross-functional teams to meet performance goals Aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer-facing environment Proven problem-solving skills and a sharp analytical mindset A solid track record of successful project implementations WE VALUE Advanced degree in engineering or a related field; a business degree is a plus Extensive engineering experience Significant leadership experience, preferably in an international, multi-site, and multicultural business environment Product development expertise, from idea generation to product launch Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience Market-focused mindset and ability to anticipate changes in customer needs Strategic thinking and effective management of complex projects Proven track record of successful cross-functional experiences Ability to make timely decisions, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness, even in complex situations Key Responsibilities Act as a technical expert in customer presentations Determine the technical requirements to meet client goals Build strong customer relationships, especially with key stakeholders and sponsors Serve as a liaison between sales/business development and product and engineering groups Manage customer expectations and lead them to satisfaction Track key components throughout the POC process Ensure all deliverables are received in good order, on time, and meet customer requirements Communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders Identify growth opportunities proactively Collaborate with teams to achieve sustainable growth About Us Honeywell helps organizations solve the world's most complex challenges in automation, aviation, and energy transition.
