Property Accountant – Real Estate
$95,000/yr + 10% bonus
We are seeking a Property Accountant in Commercial Real Estate to join our team. The firm we’re working with specializes in property management, construction management, financial reporting and accounting services, asset management, and corporate advisory services. You will be responsible for assisting the team with a wide range of tasks – from reporting, reconciliations, and analysis to debt compliance, budgeting, and forecasting. This job pays $95,000/yr with a 10% bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. It has a hybrid setup with 2 days on-site and 3 days remote.
Responsibilities:
Creating monthly financial statements, supporting documentation, and reporting policies for the designated property portfolio.
Reconciling common area maintenance and real estate tax in the accounting system.
Preparing tax returns for properties, including sales tax, use tax, and occupancy tax.
Collecting property data for tax filings and year-end audits.
Tracking, recording, and preparing financial reports for Joint Venture entities on a schedule determined by senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Minimum of 2-5 years of property accounting experience.
Experience in Industrial or Commercial Real Estate.
Experience with accounting software, preferably Yardi.
