Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing all incoming invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction industry practices, including lien waivers, job costing, and subcontractor compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
Process and code high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Track and reconcile company credit card transactions and ensure proper documentation and coding Ensure proper documentation for subcontractor payments, including lien waivers and insurance certificates Assist with month-end closing and AP reporting Track and maintain job costing and expense allocations Communicate with project managers and vendors regarding payment status and invoice issues Maintain organized digital and physical AP records Qualifications:
3-5 years of accounts payable experience in the construction industry (required) Proficient in construction accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks and Netsuite) Strong understanding of lien waivers, compliance documents, and job cost accounting Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills What we offer:
