Job Summary:
Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements (OSHA & ADEM) related to environmental programs and the health and safety of employees.
Job Duties:
Provides regular approved Safety training to employees, including New Hire, OSHA, CPR, AED training, etc. Ensures compliance of facilities for OSHA, EPA, State, County and local policies and procedures Leads incident investigations and/or response teams for EHS incidents Implements corrective actions found during investigations and/or audits Manages preventable maintenance schedules Conducts Safety and Environmental audits and inspections Performs routine Job Safety Analyses Maintains and updates MSDS Materials/Manuals Serves as Facility’s Emergency Coordinator Monitors daily production to promote safe working conditions Leads Facility’s Safety Committee Maintains all records related to Safety function in a designated shop
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related field 3-5 years of EHS related experience in an industrial setting Experience with State and Federal environmental regulations Experience with Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) OSHA 10/30 hour; RCRA; HAZWOPER; HAZWASTE, DOT 181; Industrial Hygiene classes (CIH) First Aid/CPR/AED Certification Safety Certification (CSP, ASP, etc.)
