An established chemical manufacturing facility in North Kingstown, Rhode Island is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to lead operations in a batch-based production environment. This role requires a strong foundation in chemical processes, hands-on leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate will bring a background in chemical engineering and a passion for driving operational excellence, with opportunities for advancement into broader leadership roles. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage work schedules to support 24/5 operations, ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and management to identify and resolve production constraints. Make informed decisions within established protocols, adhering to change management and safety standards. Train, certify, and evaluate team members, maintaining alignment with HR policies and operational procedures. Participate in daily production planning meetings to align resources with shifting priorities. Ensure compliance with GMP standards and maintain accurate documentation and training records. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement through effective communication and leadership. Lead team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions to support performance, accountability, and development. Take ownership of daily production activities, addressing issues proactively to meet operational goals. Required: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field with equivalent experience. 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing, including 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma). Familiarity with GMP, MOC, ECN, and other chemical process protocols. Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and barcode scanning tools. Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings to leadership. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining detailed records and documentation.
