is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to empower children and adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible in the least restrictive environment. The agency, through its programs and services, encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities into the mainstream of society, including social, recreational, family and work activities. Summary/Objective The Director will design, develop, plan, performance manage and insure all contracts are followed as expected and stated in regulatory environment. The Director leads, directs and supports community program leaders with complete integrity while operating. The Director assures diversity in funding to maximize services offered and creative programming . Essential Functions Establish policy according to community program rules and regulation Implement sound practices, including developing training resources for staff Ensure compliance with the terms of all Community Services contracts, including securing and coordinating necessary resources to ensure such compliance. Oversee all contract-related activities by Tempus Unlimited. Receive and respond to all inquiries and requests made by contractors of community services at Tempus Unlimited, in the time frames and formats specified by the contractor. Coordinate and facilitate in all activities and requests related to, but not limited to:
Fraud detection and control Meeting with other state agency representatives, Participate in any training provided or meetings conducted or requested by EOHHS or other state agencies .
Maintain written policies and procedures related to all community services programs, including the confidentiality of Consumer records and adherence with the Privacy and Security Rules. Establish and share vision and program expectation to those leading community program. Develop strategy, vision, direction, with input from all stakeholders. Design and maintain effective performance management and performance improvement tools. Participate in the performance evaluation with EOHHS. Establish a consumer Advisory Board, and convene twice per year, for the purpose of seeking feedback on issues of Tempus Unlimited management and the provision of PCM functions as outlined in the Model contract for PCM procurement. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with leaders of EOHHS to further advance important programs and services. Ability to independently organize work and meet deadlines. Ability to write effective policy that achieve regulatory expectations and best practice. Ability to solve problems creatively, when necessary. Excellent written and verbal presentation/communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to adapt to constant change with a positive attitude. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Understand and have input to yearly budget, program and agency planning Preferred Experience Must have at least 10 years’ program director experience in community-based services to people with disabilities of all ages. Ability to turn ideas into reality that results in great services to many people with disabilities. CARF experience is helpful. Required Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience serving people with disabilities required. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. This position requires travel to Boston for various stakeholder meetings, and other related meetings or conferences in other locations. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Travel Travel is required for this position.
