A major general contractor with a strong presence in the western U.S. and deep expertise in large-scale infrastructure delivery. The company is currently leading a multi-hundred-million-dollar design-build pipeline project in Southern California, spanning more than 20 miles of underground work through city streets. With a focus on high-impact public works and self-perform execution, the firm offers long-term project stability, a strong project team, and the opportunity to help shape one of the region’s most significant water infrastructure efforts.


Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Project Manager for a long-term pipeline infrastructure project based in the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village area. This individual will report directly to the Project Director and manage all phases of construction over the course of a multi-year effort. Candidates with wet utility, storm drain, or water/wastewater pipeline experience are strongly encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction of approximately 20 miles of underground pipeline through urban/city environments.
  • Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with self-perform crews and subcontractors.
  • Lead project planning, startup, and preconstruction deliverables in coordination with the Project Director.
  • Administer RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate traffic control plans and manage interface with public agencies and city inspectors.
  • Lead weekly field coordination meetings and interface with design teams, utilities, and stakeholders.
  • Track productivity, manage cost reporting, and ensure safety compliance across field operations.
  • Resolve technical and logistical challenges to maintain progress, quality, and schedule.
  • Mentor and develop field engineers, superintendents, and support staff.
  • Support integration with design-build teams and contribute to constructability input.


Qualifications/Preference:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, preferably in pipeline or underground wet utility scopes
  • 4+ years of experience in a project management role
  • Experience with traffic control planning, MOT, and managing work in active city streets
  • Familiarity with large public works or infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, storm drain, etc.)
  • Design-build experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong communication, cost tracking, and coordination skills
  • Local to the Los Angeles area
  • Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Office, etc.)
