Job Summary Financial Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for preparing financial reports, analyzing budget variances, supporting budgeting processes, and driving financial insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial planning, reporting, and process improvement, with proficiency in Anaplan or other financial planning software.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc financial reports.
• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date (YTD) budget-to-actual variances for multiple departments.
• Develop and present income statement write-ups explaining financial variances for leadership review.
• Consolidate annual budgets and create financial presentation packages for management.
• Develop and manage capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and strategic objectives.
• Analyze and evaluate capital investment opportunities, preparing cost-benefit analyses and financial models to support decision-making.
• Oversee the approval process for capital projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial controls.
• Track and manage capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets and spending for various projects.
• Assist with budget inputs and financial modeling in Anaplan, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Create and deliver ad-hoc analysis and reports to support business needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
• Proficiency in financial planning tools such as Anaplan, Excel, and other business intelligence software.
• Experience with variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IT financial planning or working with IT departments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based financial planning software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving financial processes.
