Position Summary: Fahrenheit Advisors is seeking experienced HR Consultants to provide both strategic guidance and tactical, hands-on support across core Human Resources functions on an interim, fractional, or project basis. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong generalist background who can independently lead and implement HR initiatives while serving as a trusted advisor to client leadership teams. We offer flexible, hourly consulting opportunities—both short-term and long-term engagements. If you have a minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience, we invite you to collaborate with us on impactful client projects that align with your availability, up to 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: As an HR Consultant your role will include but is not limited to: Interim HR Support, including but not limited to: Serve as an interim or fractional HR leader, managing day-to-day HR operations for assigned clients Assess the client’s organization, current processes, systems, growth operations and desired future state Advise client leadership teams on organizational development, workforce planning, and HR strategy alignment Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies, including full-cycle recruiting and pipeline development Facilitate and manage onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle events Provide guidance on compensation strategy, job descriptions, and market benchmarking Support clients with employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management Design and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and consistency across client organization Share HR policy interpretation and recommendations. Assist in the development and revision of HR policies, including annual updates to the Employee Handbook as needed. Leverage HR technology (HRIS, ATS, Payroll, and other systems) to streamline HR operations, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities. Lead benefit administration processes, including new hire enrollments, vendor management, and open enrollment planning Optimize and ensure accurate payroll processing and support benefit/payroll administration as needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enhancing the employee experience. Strategic HR Consulting: Develop an effective level of business literacy about the client to support alignment of business objectives with employees and management Partner with client leadership to analyze business trends and metrics Develop and implement solutions, programs and policies to address areas of opportunity or risk Provide guidance on restructuring, workforce planning, succession planning and retention strategies Regulatory Compliance: Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to ensure client compliance with state and federal employment laws, including those related to leave, labor laws, payroll, taxes, benefits, vendor contracts, and HR systems. Qualifications: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience and demonstrated success in Human Resources Management, with experience as an HR Manager or HR Director preferred. Previous experience managing internal HR departments or serving as the primary HR contact for an organization. Comfortable with both strategic planning and hands-on implementation Strong experience in employee relations, benefits administration, and full-cycle recruitment. Proficiency in payroll processing and knowledge of HRIS platforms. Proficiency in HR technology platforms and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to client-specific systems. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, with the ability to build trust with stakeholders and senior leadership. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to craft executive-level reports. Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, organizational, and administrative abilities. Willingness to travel as required for client engagements. Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.
