What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Develop and implement convention strategies for Medtronic business units - Collaborate with external vendors and associations to ensure successful event outcomes - Manage convention budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial compliance - Provide training and direction to team members and internal clients - Lead the execution of complex convention projects from strategy to implementation
What is Required (Qualifications): - Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in convention/meeting planning or project management, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5+ years of experience - Proven experience managing large-scale or complex conventions or exhibits - Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills - Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders - Expertise in branding, regulatory compliance, and industry standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications or business - 9 years of experience in convention planning or project management - 5 years of convention planning experience in the healthcare field - Experience in cross-functional collaboration and vendor management - Strong problem/conflict resolution and negotiating skills
