Real Property Services Field Office (RSFO)
Duty Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
The RSFO, Technical Support Section (TSS) has a d evelopmental detail or Temporary Promotion for a Senior Architect. The position is located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, which offers convenient free on-site parking to all employees. The position is atemporary assignment and will run for aperiodnot to exceed 111 days . The start dateis on or about 7 September 2025.

MAJOR DUTIES
Applies advanced concepts, principles, and practices of architectural design and construction best practices to prepare cost estimates for architectural systems (for example: interior partitions, ceiling systems, doors/door hardware, finishes, etc..) and supporting disciplines for contracts and contract modifications . Serves as architectural technical expert for design packages (drawings, specifications, and design analysis), contract modifications, and/or construction submittals, and reviews for architectural adequacy, code and regulatory compliance with functional requirements, and conformity with standard architectural and construction practices. Serves as technical expert for architectural issues for a variety of government facilities, including secure facilities, involving new construction and renovation projects. Conducts on-site quality assurance inspections and provides written reports containing architectural design and architectural system(s) compliance. Effectively provide technical expertise when reviewing ambiguous design proposals with ambiguous architectural scope to the project manager. Provide recommendations for the feasibility of contract modifications relevant to architectural design which includes compliance with life safety and building codes, and construction components which includes interior systems such as partitions, doors, and various interior finishes.

Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver’s license. Candidates in the local commuting area only.
