The Position An Interim Assistant Director, Care Coordination Services is needed to oversee discharge planning and utilization review operations for a California-based hospital. Reporting to the Surgical Services Clinical Director, this leader will oversee 25 FTEs. Key responsibilities include supervising daily operations, ensuring consistency in work processes, maintaining staff competency, supporting financial performance, and aligning team practices with organizational goals. Additionally, this leader will focus on refining orientation programs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in acute care hospital discharge planning, utilization review, and perioperative nursing, with demonstrated change management skills. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills are essential. Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. Requirements Bachelor's degree required; BSN or MSN preferred. California RN license required. Minimum five years of current experience as a perioperative RN in an acute care hospital operating room or multidisciplinary ambulatory surgery center, with previous charge RN or management experience. Compensation Details Compensation Range: $165,000 to $175,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
