Senior Manager, Business Strategy
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager, Business Strategy to join our team. This role will be pivotal in driving the execution of multiple business plans and projects, focusing on strategy and operations for eCommerce at Sam's Club. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic advisor, managing cross-functional initiatives, defining processes, and ensuring the centralized function of the team. This position requires a tenacious learner with a deep understanding of digital merchandising, digital engagement, and the ability to navigate ambiguous and complex topics. What You'll Do
Partner with operating teams to research, develop and implement new strategies and initiatives to improve sales, profit or member experience. Establish E2E ways of working rigor, structure and program management inclusive of digital walks, formalize COE process and intake/optimize for member friction points. Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating business plans and priorities. Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training, mentoring, and building a team-based work environment. Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others. Ensure business needs are met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives, and consulting with key stakeholders. Manage the resolution of business issues by reviewing data, determining needed solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Drive change initiatives by identifying and defining desired change and processes, validating value and priority, and managing project plans. Drive team collaboration and professional development across total eComm team (total teams, AES, etc.). What You'll Bring
Strong strategic and operational skills with experience in eCommerce, particularly within Sam's Club. Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and act as a quasi chief of staff. Deep understanding of digital merchandising and digital engagement. Tenacious learner with the ability to understand and navigate ambiguous and complex topics. Proven track record of driving business plans and projects, removing barriers, and ensuring performance. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage the resolution of business issues. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 4 years' experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 6 years' experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area. Preferred Qualifications
