Continuous Improvement Engineer
Key responsibilities for the Continuous Improvement Engineer are: Lead and implement process improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations to boost efficiency, minimize waste, and enhance quality and safety standards. Apply Lean methodologies (such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban) and Six Sigma tools to drive problem-solving, process optimization, and control. Perform detailed time studies, workflow analyses, and process audits to gather actionable data and recommend targeted improvements. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to drive successful cross-functional continuous improvement projects. Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact and sustainability of improvement efforts. Standardize processes and lead training initiatives to equip staff with best practices and continuous improvement techniques. Support capital projects and new technology implementations to ensure alignment with operational excellence goals. A Successful Continuous Improvement Engineer would have: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 2-5 years of proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a strong focus on process improvement and operational excellence. Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; certifications are a plus but not mandatory. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with effective project management skills to lead continuous improvement initiatives. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiar with ERP/MRP systems; experience with data analysis software is advantageous. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
