Purpose

Extended Campus Custom Training (ECCT) at UT Austin connects public and private organizations to faculty and subject matter experts to deliver customized training solutions. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented student associate with strong graphic design skills to support ECCT's marketing and outreach efforts. This position provides an excellent opportunity to apply and grow your visual communication, design, and content creation skills in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.

You will collaborate with our marketing and operations teams to develop engaging visual and written content that promotes professional development programs. Ideal candidates have experience in layout design, visual branding, and digital content creation for social media, newsletters, and web platforms.

Responsibilities Design and produce marketing materials such as flyers, presentations, social media graphics, case studies, and promotional PDFs using

Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Support the creation of ECCT's monthly newsletter using Marketo, including layout and formatting

Collaborate with marketing and program staff to develop visual content for LinkedIn and other platforms

Assist in developing branded templates and visual standards aligned with ECCT's identity

Prepare design files for print and digital distribution, and package assets for internal or external use

Contribute to marketing strategy meetings by brainstorming visual campaign ideas

Provide general support to ECCT's marketing and operations teams

Required Qualifications

Current student or upper-division undergraduate student in good academic standing enrolled in a local University. Demonstrated experience in graphic design through coursework, work samples, or past roles Proficiency in

Canva

and

Adobe Creative Suite

(especially InDesign and Photoshop) Strong visual storytelling, layout, and formatting skills Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content strategy Excellent communication and organization skills; attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with CMS tools like WordPress or Drupal Background in design, marketing, communications, or related fields Experience with tools like Asana, Trello, or similar project management platforms Interest in adult learning, workforce development, or continuing education Salary Range

$15.00 +/hour depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

Work to be performed in a typical office environment

Approximately 15 hours per week
