Role Overview As the Power Market Sector Leader, you will:
Focus on client management and development, serving as a client and project manager for future opportunities with key clients.
Identify and develop project opportunities, lead pursuits, and support HDR pursuits.
Plan, direct, and monitor large multi-discipline projects or medium-sized projects with high technical complexity.
Assess the marketplace to determine the best strategies for winning and securing contracts.
Collaborate across sectors and business groups to enhance business development efforts.
Serve as a Client Manager for key clients and maintain industry visibility.
Promote HDR services and work with client managers on marketing and delivery.
Support development and delivery of market sector initiatives with business group managers.
Drive client development and pursuit processes with client development leaders.
Participate in industry associations and serve as a role model in business and community organizations.
Identify key investments to maintain or enhance HDR’s industry leadership.
Build relationships with industry counterparts and senior client leadership.
Enhance practices for market success and staff growth, including recruiting future employees.
Coordinate work-sharing among departments and support technical excellence.
Lead initiatives for new technical services and products.
Assist with staffing and resource planning.
Monitor market sector performance and implement process improvements.
Facilitate effective resource use and work sharing.
Review contracts for risk management and quality assurance.
Promote QA/QC and technical expertise in marketing and projects.
Support lessons learned and take on appropriate project management roles.
Qualifications Preferred:
Maintain engineering registration if an engineer
California Professional Engineer license
Master's degree
PMP certification
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning, or related field
At least 10 years of industry experience
Experience in strategic marketing and client relationship management
Proven staff development skills
Active in industry associations and visible in the market sector
Ability to collaborate with various leadership roles
Strong commitment to HDR values and culture
