Responsibilities for the Business Analyst include but are not limited to:
· Analyze completed construction projects to extract actual costs and performance data
· Perform unit cost analysis using project contracts and historical data
· Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs in proposals and benchmark against competitors
· Assess accuracy and consistency of estimates relative to productivity metrics and unit costs
· Collaborate with Estimating, Contract Management, Supply, Project Management, PMO, and Work Management teams
· Provide insights and reporting on cost trends and estimating efficiency
· Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders
· Analyze and document current business processes and workflows
· Develop and maintain business process models and documentation
· Create functional and technical specifications for system enhancements
· Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide project updates
· Identify and document project risks and issues
· Support development and testing of new systems or enhancements
· Provide training and support during and after system implementation
· Participate in software and system evaluation and selection
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
· 5–8 years of experience in estimating construction projects
· Strong understanding of contract language and cost components
· Proficiency in interpreting construction proposals, bids, and project data
· Knowledge of construction processes, unit cost metrics, and productivity benchmarking
· Experience with Excel and PowerBI
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or IT preferred
· Prior experience in Utility, Generation, or Oil/Gas industries is a plus
