Position Details
The employee is responsible for assisting children ages 6-11 in group activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts and free play in a birthday party setting and Parent's Night Out program. Assist in set up and take down of the program.
Primary Duties
  • Enforce Community & Event Center rules
  • Engage youth ages 6-11 in various camp and program activities
  • Provide direction and disciple when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, youth, and their families
  • Assist with birthday parties and Parks After Dark on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)
  • Be a positive role model
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass a background check completed by the City of Auburn
  • Ability to complete First Aid/CPR
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with youth

Temporary positions are not eligible to receive City benefits; however, WA Paid Sick Leave (WPSL) is issued at 0.025 hours per 40 hours worked, as required by law.
