As a vital member of our maternity care unit, you will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an RN dedicated to maternal and newborn health. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring women and their newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.- Monitor and assess maternal and fetal health throughout the labor and delivery process.- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.- Educate patients and families regarding the labor and delivery process, pain management options, and postpartum care.- Document patient care and progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving measures as needed, following established protocols.- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the maternity care unit. Qualifications: - Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.- Experience in labor and delivery is preferred, with a strong foundation in maternal and newborn nursing care.- BLS and ACLS certifications are required; NRP certification is a plus.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
