Human Resources Generalist
Our client, a manufacturer based in Exton, PA, is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist.
Position Summary : Reporting to the HR VP, the HR Generalist will run the day-to-day functions of the HR department including Full-Cycle Talent Acquisition, Payroll Administration, Benefits Administration, Leaves of Absence, and Performance Management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hand-on HR experience, strong detail-orientation, and a passion for helping people!
This is a full-time, permanent position requiring onsite work, Monday-Friday, in the Exton, PA office.
Responsibilities : Recruits, screens, interviews, schedules, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications and other pre-employment requirements. Ensures appropriate documentation for Full Cycle Recruiting Implement new hire orientation. Runs the weekly payroll processing and 401k funding for two legal entities Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the HCM system by entering updates, employee changes, and other approved payroll/status change notices Responsible for applying all HR policies and company guidelines Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs. Manages the distribution of performance reviews. Maintain employment records and verifications. Implement health insurance enrollments for new hires and administers open enrollments, changes to employee health insurance elections. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Performs annual, monthly quarterly required reports or assignments as needed in the department. Responds to unemployment requests and payroll verifications Assists with event planning. Performs other HR or company duties as assigned. Experience and Skills Requirements :
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or comparable experience and/or certifications in leu of a degree. Minimum of 3 years working in Human Resources, Payroll and/or Benefits. Experience with HCM systems and reporting, experience using iSolved HCM is a plus Experience working with an applicant tracking system Experience conducting screening and interviews Hands-on experience running payroll for hourly and salaried employees through an automated payroll processing system Experience speaking in front of or conducting training for 1-100 employees Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations such as FLSA, ADA, FMLA, EEO. Solid understanding of wage and hours laws Proficient or experience working with HR and Payroll related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems. Working understanding of group health insurance and employee benefits Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities. Including walking up/down steps, walking through a factory, Must the able to work on site at our facilities located in Exton, PA
