HVAC Service Technician Sylva NC
Peak is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician for a permanent hire opportunity in the Sylva NC area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. The HVAC Technician will work independently and as part of a team, providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and heating systems. Troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems. Collaborate with team members to design efficient HVAC solutions for various applications. Utilize mechanical knowledge to build or modify equipment as needed. Handle ammonia refrigeration systems safely and effectively. Drive company vehicles to job sites while adhering to all safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of service performed and equipment repairs.
Experience Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role is preferred. Strong understanding of air conditioning systems, refrigeration, and mechanical principles. Familiarity with equipment repair techniques and troubleshooting methods. Experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. EPA Universal Certification. Pay is $30 - $35 depending on expeirence.
