Senior Financial Analyst
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Middletown, Delaware. This role will focus on supporting the propane division, utilizing advanced financial analysis and strategic planning to drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and execution of budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis for major business units.
- Analyzing complex datasets to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Designing and implementing key performance indicators to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and turn data insights into actionable strategies.
- Providing strategic financial insights and solutions to senior leadership through detailed presentations and recommendations.
- Evaluating current data processes and proposing improvements to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Utilizing tools like SAP, Power BI, and Tableau to streamline financial reporting and visualization.
- Conducting deep-dive analyses of financial data to support long-term planning and decision-making.
- Partnering with stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial goals and objectives.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and macros.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working on large datasets and conducting detailed analyses.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with leadership and contribute to strategic planning.
- Familiarity with Power BI and/or Tableau is preferred.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise systems is a plus.
- Prior experience in the energy, utilities, or propane industry is highly desirable.
