Our prestigious architecture firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Preservation Architect
to join our team in Washington, DC. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving historic structures and buildings by conducting research, creating preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in architecture, at least 5 years of preservation experience, and extensive knowledge of historic building codes and regulations. This is a contract position with the possibility of visa sponsorship. Candidates with experience working on projects in Washington, DC are preferred. Salary is $1300 per week. As our Preservation Architect, you will: Conduct thorough research on historic structures and buildings Develop preservation plans that meet all necessary codes and regulations Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure successful restoration projects Provide technical expertise on preservation techniques and materials Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for preservation work Travel to project sites as needed Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture Minimum of 5 years of experience in preservation work Extensive knowledge of historic building codes and regulations Strong project management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in CAD software is preferred This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Preservation Architect to join our growing team!
