Summary
This position supports the Accounts Receivable department in researching and processing various cash applications and other credit accounting.
Location
This position can sit in our Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh, Reston, San Diego, Seattle, Short Hills, Washington DC or Wilmington office and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepare various daily and monthly reconciliations (International Exchange, Credit Card and Daily Cash).
- Research and resolve more complex activities related to aging and unapplied cash; contact and work with areas outside of A/R if necessary.
- Perform daily requested AR write-offs and reapplications of unapplied or misapplied cash receipts.
- Monitor, manage, report and assign Accounts Receivable related queries to ensure resolution within established timeframes, and resolved queries by corresponding with billing attorneys, legal practice specialists, billers and collectors.
- Process client refunds and transfers to client trust accounts in accordance with firm policy, as directed.
Knowledge of general accounting procedures. Computer skills required to include Microsoft Excel and data entry. Experience with Client Trust is preferred.
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
- 4 years of experience as an AR Specialist or Supervisor

- Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Environment
The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement comprised of remote and in-office work, the requirement for which will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified in the firms discretion in the future.

The firms expected hiring range for this position is $30.38 - $43.45 per hour depending on the candidates geographic market location.
The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidates experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
