The Office of theController, within the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Finance and Administration Cabinet, is seeking a driven anddetail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our Customer Resource Center (CRC) Help Desk.
This is more than just a help desk role! It is a chance to be part of a dynamic team supporting one of theCommonwealth's most critical enterprise systems, eMARS (our statewide accounting and financial ERP). If youenjoy blending technology with financial operations to make a real impact, this position is for you.
As a Systems Administrator you'll be on the front line of support for state employees and vendors doingbusiness with the Commonwealth. Your role will include: Providing expert support to users and vendors navigating our financial systems Troubleshooting technical and transactional issues in eMARS and Vendor Self Service (VSS) Managing secure access and password resets for multiple system platforms Processing vendor records and ensuring compliance with established security protocols Supporting and delivering end-user training through classroom and virtual formats Collaborating with teams to improve user experience and functionality Documenting and tracking incidents and helping shape system enhancements This is not a typical IT or finance position. It is a hybrid role where you'll gain deep experience in bothworlds. You'll become an expert in one of Kentucky's most important financial systems while helping thousandsof users across the Commonwealth. The work is meaningful, the team is collaborative, and your contributionswill directly impact government efficiency and service delivery.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High School graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of experience in IT systems administration, IT systems support, or IT systems analysis
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Additional education in computer science, IT, or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional experience in IT systems administration, IT systems support, or IT systems analysis will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis OR a certification in an IT related field will substitute for the required education.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title typically perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
