The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico, from classic and modern luxury hotels to restaurants and entertainment. La Concha Resort is a modern luxury resort in Condado, Puerto Rico with a history since 1958. Representing the fun "Latino Chic" lifestyle, it offers elegant amenities and a popular nightlife to all guests. Must master the pastry station.
Ensures all food and preparation at their station are ready for each shift.
Guarantees all pastries are prepared according to recipes designated by the supervisor.
Ensures the quality and quantity of food are correct.
Guarantees food is sent to the correct table on time.
Responsible for the complete preparation, cleaning, and organization of the pastry station before each shift.
Strives to maintain knowledge of industry trends in the world of pastry and baking.
Bake fresh pastries, desserts, and breads for the restaurant.
Clean the preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and service areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices.
Guarantees the freshness of food and ingredients by checking their quality, controlling old and new products, and rotating inventory.
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
Calculate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage.
Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, considering factors such as costs and special event needs.
Maintain records and accounts.
Understand the impact of kitchen operations on the overall financial goals and objectives of the property.
Follow all company safety and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
Complete safety training and certifications.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Hospitality oriented.
Previous experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role in a fine dining environment. Ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
Capable of working quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
Must be able to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach above and below knee level. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must perform well under pressure, even with minimal supervision.
Technical knowledge in pastry.
Fully bilingual (Spanish and English)
