Condado Collection Overview

The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico, including classic and modern luxury hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues. La Concha Resort is a modern luxury resort in Condado, Puerto Rico with a history since 1958. Representing the fun "Latino Chic" lifestyle, it offers elegant amenities and a popular nightlife to all guests. Lets build together a collection of memories! Responsibilities

Dominate your assigned kitchen station.

Ensure all food preparation at your station is ready for each shift.

Prepare the station appropriately and on time for each service period.

Ensure all food is prepared according to the supervisors designated recipes.

Ensure the quality and quantity of food are correct.

Ensure food is sent to the correct area on time.

Cook food and prepare high-quality menu items promptly according to recipes/menu.

Verify that production schedules are followed and strictly adhered to.

Clean preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices.

Ensure the freshness of food and ingredients by checking their quality, controlling old and new products, and rotating inventory.

Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, grills, griddles, and broilers.

Season and cook food according to recipes or your own judgment and experience.

Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.

Calculate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage.

Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, considering factors such as cost and special event needs.

Maintain records and accounts.

Understand the impact of kitchen operations on the propertys overall financial goals and objectives.

Follow all company safety and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor.

Complete safety training and certifications.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals.

Ensure the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

Hospitality oriented.

Previous experience as a chef or in a similar position in a high-end kitchen environment.

Ability to handle difficult situations effectively Ability to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach above and below the knees. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to perform well under pressure, even with minimal supervision Technical knowledge in cooking Bilingual (English/Spanish) The Condado Collection is an equal opportunity employer.
