The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico, from classic and modern luxury hotels to restaurants and entertainment. La Concha Resort is a modern luxury resort in Condado, Puerto Rico with a history since 1958. Representing the fun "Latino Chic" lifestyle, it offers elegant amenities and a very popular nightlife to all guests. Let's build together a collection of memories! Responsibilities

Assists the First Chef in food preparation.

Prepares stations appropriately and on time for each service period.

Ensures that food is delivered to the correct table on time.

Cooks food and prepares menu items of the highest quality in a timely manner according to recipes/menu.

Verifies that production schedules are followed and adhered to strictly.

Cleans the preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and service areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices.

Ensures the freshness of food and ingredients by checking their quality, controlling old and new products, and rotating inventory.

Weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes.

Calculates the expected food consumption, requisitions or purchases supplies, or procures food from storage.

Consults with supervisory staff to plan menus, considering factors such as costs and special event needs.

Maintains records and accounts.

Understands the impact of kitchen operations on the overall financial goals and objectives of the property.

Follows all company safety and security policies; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.

Completes safety training and certifications.

Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team to achieve common goals, listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Ensures that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.

Performs other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

Hospitality oriented

Previous experience as a chef or in a similar role in a fine dining environment

Ability to handle difficult situations effectively Capable of working quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure Must be able to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach above and below the head and knees. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Must perform well under pressure, even with minimal supervision Technical knowledge in cooking Bilingual (Spanish and English) The Condado Collection is an equal opportunity employer.
