Project Management Office Lead

Cimarron and Amentum are seeking a Project Management Office Lead to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO or the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Key Duties: Provide expertise, guidance, and oversight for all project management activities on the contract. Establish standards and performance measures for key project management metrics. Develop and deliver tools, templates, processes, procedures, and training materials to support successful project execution across the contract. Facilitate integration across IRES Task Orders (TOs) to ensure consistent PMO processes and reporting, gather feedback, share insights, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Oversee delivery of enterprise project requirements in alignment with scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives. Recommend enterprise resource sharing and allocation across multidisciplinary teams. Conduct training and certification for Project Managers and Integrated Project Leads, both new and recurring. Lead, mentor, and coach Project Managers and Integrated Project Leads to enhance communication, engagement, and coordination across diverse stakeholders. Act as an integrator across the contract, leveraging established relationships within the Missile Defense Agency. Perform supervisory duties, including performance evaluations, setting goals/priorities, and taking performance actions when necessary. Integrate systems engineering principles and requirements into project management and delivery processes. Serve as Control Account Manager (CAM), including authorizing charge codes, tracking labor against the control account, and collaborating with the Earned Value (EV) team on forecasting. Provide regular status updates and briefings to leadership, including senior government customers and stakeholders. Apply interpersonal skills to resolve both technical and organizational conflicts. Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time. This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include, but is not limited to, testing for marijuana use. Active Secret Clearance (or higher). 8 or more years of directly related experience in project management. 10 or more years of experience working in management or leadership roles. Certification in project management. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies. Familiarity with systems engineering, change management, contracts, risk management, and other processes that integrate with project management. Prior experience leading teams in support of the Department of Defense National Security Programs. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Self-motivated, resilient, resourceful, and able to work proactively. High School diploma or equivalent and 18 or more years of general experience, Associate degree and 16 or more years of general experience, Bachelor's degree and 14 or more years of general experience, or Master's degree and 12 or more years of general experience. Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: Experience with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), particularly on the IRES contract. Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans with minimal supervision.
