Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Law Firm Receptionist for its client's Chicago office.

Position Overview: An AmLaw firm is seeking a poised and professional

Receptionist

to serve as the first point of contact at its

Chicago office . The ideal candidate will be polished, service-oriented, and experienced in a legal or corporate environment. This role is key to ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional front office experience for clients, attorneys, and visitors alike. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-performance environment and takes pride in delivering white-glove service in a fast-paced law firm setting. This role will be on-site, Monday-Friday. Key Responsibilities: Greet and welcome clients, visitors, attorneys, and vendors with professionalism and courtesy Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system; take detailed messages when needed Coordinate visitor check-ins, maintain a neat and organized reception area Manage conference room scheduling and assist with meeting preparation (A/V, catering, materials, etc.) Receive and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries Coordinate courier services and manage outgoing mail and overnight shipments Maintain office calendars and assist with internal communications regarding events and schedules Provide general administrative support to office staff as needed (e.g., scanning, filing, data entry) Liaise with building management, security, and vendors when necessary Uphold confidentiality, discretion, and a high standard of client service at all times Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in a law firm, professional services, or corporate reception environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional demeanor and appearance Strong organizational and time-management skills; attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality Positive, polished, and service-driven attitude
