No call or weekend shifts required Estimated Weekly Salary:
$1880-$2020 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Current CPR certification ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required; multispecialty OR experience preferred Experience in acute care hospital preferred CNOR and PALS certifications preferred Strong emergency management, organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver safe, quality patient care throughout the intraoperative period Conduct pre-op patient assessments and monitor patient status during surgery Apply the nursing process to plan, implement, and document patient care Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and healthcare team members Carry out physician orders and assist anesthesia staff as needed Maintain competencies in aseptic technique, sterile procedures, and universal precautions Anticipate and implement appropriate care during all phases of surgery Participate in orientation and training of new staff Identify and minimize safety hazards for sedated and anesthetized patients Comply with infection control, safety standards, and facility policies Engage in quality improvement initiatives Other duties as assigned
