Day Shift, Monday-Friday (6:30am-3:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm) Hours:

8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week No weekends or on-call required Estimated Weekly Salary:

$1880-$2020 PACU RN Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program Active, unencumbered Oregon RN license Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days) ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) PALS certification preferred Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2+ years in PACU, critical care, or medical-surgical nursing preferred Strong clinical skills in emergency management, organization, prioritization, and leadership PACU Nurse Responsibilities

Assess patient status in pre-op and post-op areas throughout care Deliver safe, therapeutic nursing care using the nursing process Coordinate interventions for optimal patient outcomes and discharge readiness Accurately document nursing interventions and patient responses Communicate patient conditions to surgeons, anesthesia, and healthcare team Implement physician orders and maintain thorough documentation Educate patients and families regarding peri-operative care Maintain competency in conscious sedation administration and monitoring Identify safety hazards and protect sedated/anesthetized patients Demonstrate expertise in asepsis, sterile technique, and universal precautions Support orientation and training of new nursing staff Open, clean, and re-stock unit daily Participate in healthcare quality improvement initiatives Perform other nursing duties as assigned
