Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or CEO Job Overview: The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial planning. This role involves managing accounting operations, preparing financial statements, optimizing internal controls, and supporting strategic financial decisions. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management. Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to track company performance. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the budgeting process, including forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis. Assist in long-term financial planning and strategy development. Internal Controls & Compliance Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure financial accuracy. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and company policies. Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and financial reviews. Maintain accurate records for regulatory and tax filings. Cash Flow & Risk Management Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity. Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Optimize cost structures and financial efficiencies across the organization. Leadership & Team Management Supervise and mentor the accounting and finance team. Oversee payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with business objectives. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred). 5+ years of experience in financial management or a senior accounting role. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Experience in tax compliance and regulatory reporting. Seniority level
