Director of Pricing You'll Report to:

SVP of Pricing and Product We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Pricing to lead and manage our pricing team. This key role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pricing department, with a focus on developing and nurturing a team of highly skilled managers and analysts. The Director of Actuarial Services will be a strategic leader in building and refining our pricing processes, ensuring that we maintain a competitive and data-driven approach to pricing.This individual will also play a crucial role in developing and implementing new rating structures, incorporating advanced predictive analytics, and overseeing the filing process with state Departments of Insurance.

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage a team of pricing managers and analysts, providing mentorship, training, and development to build a high-performing and effective team. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance skills and capabilities within the department. Develop, refine, and implement processes for regularly refreshing pricing indications to ensure we remain competitive and responsive to market conditions. Oversee the development of rating structures that include new rating variables, ensuring the integration of advanced analytics and predictive modeling techniques. Implement a robust framework for maintaining, testing, and optimizing rating structures over time, ensuring pricing accuracy and alignment with company objectives. Conduct ongoing market-based analysis of competitors' pricing structures, identifying trends and insights that inform our pricing strategy. Analyze price elasticity and market conditions to inform pricing decisions and ensure we are meeting business goals while remaining competitive. Lead the filing process with state Departments of Insurance, ensuring timely and accurate submissions, while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements. Drive initiatives to reduce reliance on external consulting resources by developing in-house capabilities and streamlining internal processes.

What You’ll Need to be a Top Candidate

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or actuarial credentials preferred. Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of experience in pricing, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role. Extensive experience with rating structure development, GLMs, predictive analytics, and pricing optimization techniques. Strong knowledge of pricing and regulatory requirements within the insurance industry, including experience with filing and working with state Departments of Insurance. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and fostering professional growth. Expertise in market and competitor analysis, price elasticity, and strategic decision-making. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior leadership. Working Conditions:

Normal business office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone.
