As an ER nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care across a diverse patient population, from pediatric to geriatric. You will be responsible for performing various essential ER tasks, ensuring a positive experience for patients and families while meeting operational metrics. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.- Conduct assessments and prioritization of patient needs.- Perform essential ER tasks, including phlebotomy, IV initiation, EKG monitoring, splinting, wound care, and patient transport.- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system (Meditech). Qualifications: - Current RN licensure and certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS.- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in an emergency or acute care setting.- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.- Strong patient-centered focus with a commitment to enhancing patient and family experiences.- Ability to float to units appropriate to skills as needed (rare). Unit Information: - The Emergency Department provides services to a varied patient population across the age spectrum. - The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technologies and a team-oriented environment.
