Significant experience with culturing immortalized cell lines and/or primary cells models including retrieval of cell lines from cryogenic storage. Expansion and banking of a variety of immortalized cell lines using best practice aseptic techniques. Ensuring the highest quality is maintained through knowledge or performance in cell line quality control methods such as mycoplasma testing, STR fingerprinting, and sterility testing. Data base management of cell line information. Data analysis and recording in ELNs. Maintaining an awareness of current developments in the literature and contributing to the continuous improvement process. Data analysis and recording in ELNs. SOP generation and compliance with in vitro best practices. Mentor and train junior members of the team. With some supervision model execution of: Complex multiplexed assays and high content imaging. Support in vivo studies and terminal necropsies and tissue harvests. Ex vivo assays with rodent tissues. Performs radiolabeling and in-vitro binding assays of radio labeled compounds. Work with radioactivity, radioactive and BSL2 samples. Gamma counting. Sample disposition. Proper handling and disposal of associated materials.
