Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Location: Newark, NJ 07112 (New Jersey nursing jobs) Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D B-7) Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/8/2025 - End: 12/8/2025) Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month (Sat/Sun) Charting System: EPIC and CPN First Time Travelers: Accepted Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250 Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience Active New Jersey or Compact RN license (required at submission) BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) - required for all L&D RN jobs NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM (may be acquired prior to start with proof of registration) Experience circulating C-sections and using external fetal monitoring (EFM) Ability to float to high-risk antepartum/postpartum units and monitor high-risk OB patients in ICU/ED/tele units as needed Professional references required Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and high-risk obstetric patients Circulate for C-sections and assist with post-delivery recovery Monitor patients using external fetal monitoring and perform OB assessments Float to antepartum/postpartum units and monitor OB patients in ICU, ED, or telemetry as assigned Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and CPN charting systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Comply with hospital policies, including floating and weekend requirements Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Newark, NJ, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
