This position is ideal for experienced nurses looking to provide exceptional care to expectant mothers and newborns. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1-3, depending on the acuity and phase of labor.- Circulate and assist in C-sections, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.- Float to high-risk Antepartum/Postpartum units to care for pregnant women requiring hospitalization and postpartum women.- Monitor high-risk antepartum patients in various units (ICU/ED/tele units) through continuous or intermittent fetal monitoring, performing OB assessments as necessary.- Maintain accurate patient records and effectively utilize EPIC and CPN charting systems. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing required.- AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM certification required (can be obtained prior to the start date with proof of registration).- Active RN license in New Jersey or a Compact license.- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, FHM, NRP, and Stroke CEUs are preferred.- Previous charge experience within Labor & Delivery or a similar setting strongly preferred. Patient Care Environment: - High-volume Labor & Delivery unit with approximately 225 births per month.- Opportunity to work in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals across various specialties.- Opportunities to float to units based on skillset and hospital needs. Schedule Requirements: - Must be available to work 4 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per month.- Flexibility in scheduling is vital, as there will be expectations to float as needed.
