Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Las Cruces, NM 88011 - New Mexico healthcare jobs in the scenic Mesilla Valley Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Unit: Labor & Delivery / Postpartum (LDRP model) Shift: 12 Hour Days (07:00 - 19:00), shared weekends Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 8/1/2025 - End: 10/31/2025) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880-$2010 Patient Population: Adult, newborns Number of Beds: 16 Electronic Health Record: Centricity, Perinatal, Meditech L&D Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - eligible for New Mexico nursing jobs Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring, ACLS (must be obtained prior to start) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Ability to float to Special Care Nursery as needed Compliance with New Mexico state fingerprinting and background check requirements (travel nurses may start on a 14-day waiver while results are processed) Flexible, team-oriented, and positive attitude L&D RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns Circulate for C-sections, PPBTL, D&Cs, and manage obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage Provide care within a baby-friendly, family-centered model (LDRP) Monitor and interpret fetal heart rates, administer medications, and document patient care in EHR systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain compliance with facility policies, AWHONN standards, and New Mexico state nursing regulations Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
