American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications and a minimum of two years' experience.Job Details•Position is in a 31-bed acute care telemetry unit,•Patient ratios are 1:4 with a mix of private and semi-private rooms,•Common patient populations include post-pacer, hemodialysis, new onset Afib or RVR, stepdown from ICU, urology, strokes, TBI, sepsis, and high acuity cases,•Uses Phillips telemetry equipment and Cerner EMR,•Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00-7:30),•Weekend requirement is 4 shifts within a 4-week schedule,•Travelers are the first to float between units and may float to other telemetry, med-surg, ICU MS hold, or ER holds,•Call requirement includes reporting within 30 minutes if on standby,•Initial orientation includes 1-2 shifts with a preceptor,Job Requirements•Active, unencumbered RN license (state or compact); pending licenses not accepted,•Minimum of two years' recent telemetry RN experience required,•Valid certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS, all active at time of consideration,•Two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years,•Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms,•Copy of driver's license required,•Competency with Phillips telemetry equipment and Cerner EMR preferred,Additional Information•Travelers integrate into the unit schedule and participate in major and minor holiday coverage,•Team includes a shift manager, resource nurse, and nurse aides,•No IV team; RT and pharmacy are available 24/7,•Navy blue scrubs required; undershirts must be navy, white, or black,•No previous employment (within one year) at any facility within the same health system allowed,•Floor-specific orientation provided with preceptor support,•High acuity environment with a wide variety of patient cases including correctional and nursing home patients,),•hash,:•12048107233101205624,
