American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring ICU and ER experience, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and rotating weekend/float shifts.Job Details•Work in an 8-bed ICU within an acute care hospital setting,•Care primarily for medical ICU patients with a 1:1-2 nurse-to-patient ratio,•Daily 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required,•Position will float between ICU and ER as needed and may float to other Sacramento facilities,•Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips and care for ventilated patients,•Cerner EMR system is used; familiarity preferred,•Onsite support includes charge nurse (break relief), nurse aides as needed, hospitalist or intensivist in-house, 24/7 RT, and pharmacy,•Bedside shift report at the start of each shift,•No IV team present,Job Requirements•Active RN license (state or compact); pending licenses not accepted,•Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience and experience in ER required,•Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; PALS preferred,•Ability to float between ICU and ER,•Must provide two references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years,•Must pass the Relias Dysrhythmia exam before acceptance, or provide proof of passing in the last 12 months,•Ability to read and interpret EKG strips,•Copy of driver's license required,•Candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) in the past year,Additional Information•Main responsibilities include providing care to critically ill patients, reading tele strips, and managing ventilators,•Scrub color is navy; undershirts must be navy, white, or black.
