Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Foxboro, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting payroll operations, managing invoices, and performing essential administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of financial processes. Responsibilities:

Enter employee timesheet data into QuickBooks Online with precision to ensure accurate payroll processing.

Prepare and process invoices, verifying all documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Maintain both physical and digital records during the transition to a shared service platform, ensuring accessibility and organization.

Assist with administrative tasks such as pulling permits and other office-related duties as required.

Perform regular audits of data to identify and correct errors, ensuring the integrity of financial records.

Communicate effectively with internal teams to address discrepancies and uphold data accuracy.

Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including coding invoices and reconciling bank statements.

Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and maintain compliance with organizational policies.

Requirements:

Previous experience in accounting, payroll, or administrative support roles is preferred.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is highly desirable.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a paper-heavy environment.

Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Effective communication skills to interact with team members and resolve issues.

Familiarity with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.

Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
