Corporate Tax Partner
Our client is a fast-growing regional accounting firm seeking an entrepreneurial Corporate Tax Partner with ASC 740 expertise to join their team.
The Tax Partner will leverage their technical taxation expertise, leadership skills, and service mindset to serve clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. They should possess analytical skills for diagnosing, developing, and implementing solutions to clients' tax needs. The role offers opportunities to pursue innovative approaches to client issues, supported by the firm.
The successful candidate will have deep relationships within the San Francisco Bay business community, a track record of developing new business, and the ability to leverage trusted relationships. They will also play a key role in mentoring staff, helping individuals achieve rewarding careers, and developing future leaders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA or JD
10-15 years in public accounting with experience in corporate federal tax compliance and consulting
Experience across multiple industries
ASC 740 expertise
Proficiency in corporate taxation; experience with individual and partnership taxes a plus
Experience supervising and training staff and seniors preferred
Ability to motivate and develop team members through training and recognition
Experience conducting performance reviews
Highly motivated with experience managing multiple client engagements
Growing industry recognition and visibility
Ensures quality control on client work
Understanding of firm economics and direct client billing responsibility
Supports policy and procedure decisions and team leadership
Administrative responsibilities including recruiting and professional development leadership
Ability to explain and teach technical concepts to staff
Stays current on technical and regulatory issues
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Preferred
Juris Doctorate in Taxation or related field
Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation or related field
Master of Science in Taxation or related field
