Position Summary
Grand Circle’s General Ledger team is seeking a Staff Accountant who can think critically, roll up their sleeves and is excited to revamp processes. You will be responsible for ensuring monthly accounting entries are complete, accurate, and in compliance with GAAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated accounting professional who wants to grow with a company that values accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
For both the travel company and the Grand Circle Foundation:
Reconcile daily cash activity and prepare all necessary entries for the corporate bank accounts Reconcile bank accounts monthly Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including recording additions, disposals and depreciation Prepare journal entries, analysis and reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts in accordance with GAAP Work within the accounting team to standardize practices and procedures Interact cross functionally to gather all relevant accounting and financial data to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting Assist with preparation for and facilitation of the audit process
Requirements
1-3 years of accounting or finance experience Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to think critically Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and a history of meeting deadlines Bachelor's degree in Accounting
