Every other weekend
Holiday Coverage:
Rotating ( major holidays ) Patient Ratios (AWHONN Standards):
Early labor/induction: 1:2 Active labor/C-section: 1:1 Triage/postpartum: 1:4 Unit Capacity: 14 LDRP rooms, 2 ORs, 9-bed Special Care Nursery
Monthly Deliveries:
~105 Requirements & Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications:
Active RN License:
Maryland (MD) or
Compact License
( required at submission ) Certifications:
NRP, STABLE
( required ) BLS, ACLS
( AHA required ) AWHONN courses ( Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced preferred ) Experience:
Minimum 2 years
of recent
L&D experience
Required Skills:
Circulating/scrubbing for C-sections
High-risk OB care (pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage) Fetal monitoring (EFM/IUPC placement) EPIC proficiency
( preferred ) Preferred:
Community hospital experience
Baby-friendly protocols
Unit & Facility Details
Patient Population:
Antepartum, VBAC, multiples, preterm labor
Neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) Special Equipment:
Radiant warmers, breast pumps, tocodynamometers
Support Teams: 24/7 anesthesia, lactation consultants
