Under the direction of the District Manager, the General Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profit targets for Buona Restaurant and Buona Catering Retail.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets and develop strategies to impact sales across all revenue areas
  • Enforce and execute marketing plans
  • Manage and control expenses, including direct expenses, food costs, repairs, maintenance, and discounts
  • Oversee staffing, including selection, retention, supervision, and training of hourly employees
  • Conduct quarterly reviews and adhere to training programs
  • Develop employees into shift managers and conduct weekly meetings with Co-Managers
  • Build sales, manage staffing levels, labor costs, and food cost variances
  • Oversee building and equipment repairs, enforce policies and procedures, and evaluate systems and procedures
  • Handle store emergencies and communicate marketing opportunities to staff

Reporting

  • Reports directly to the District Manager
  • Participates in weekly and monthly meetings
