Under the direction of the District Manager, the General Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profit targets for Buona Restaurant and Buona Catering Retail.
Duties
- Achieve sales targets
- Recognize all revenue areas & develop strategies to impact sales
- Enforce & execute marketing plans
- Manage and control expenses such as direct costs, food costs, repairs, maintenance, discounts, and other expenses
- Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of hourly employees
- Conduct employee reviews and determine promotions or terminations
- Develop employees into shift managers
- Hold regular meetings with Co-Managers to discuss opportunities
- Manage staffing levels, labor costs, and sales building efforts
- Monitor cash handling and store repairs
- Enforce policies, procedures, and controls
- Evaluate systems and procedures, providing feedback to the District Manager
- Be accessible for store emergencies
- Implement and communicate advertising and marketing plans, providing feedback
Reporting
- Reports directly to the District Manager
- Participates in weekly and monthly management meetings
