This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to handle a variety of personal injury and civil rights cases. Duties

  • Represent clients in personal injury and civil rights cases, including handling all aspects of trial preparation and legal proceedings.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents necessary for case progression.
  • Attend court hearings and trials, providing legal counsel and advocating for client interests.
  • Conduct depositions, interact with witnesses, and gather evidence to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide case updates and manage expectations.
  • Stay updated on legal developments and procedures relevant to personal injury and civil rights law.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Proven experience in personal injury law and civil rights litigation.
  • Ability to handle court proceedings, trials, and legal motions confidently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Prior experience handling personal injury cases or civil rights matters is highly preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the New York State Bar.
